Topics from the Restless

Topics from the Restless provides secondary and post-secondary students with meaningful reading and study skills development while building real-world writing experience. Older students are exposed to relevant, quality literature often found in newspapers and magazines.

The series has gradated reading levels which allows students with a variety of reading levels to work in the same series, even the same book, and progressively grow in reading skill ability.

Topics from the Restless consists of pre-reading and post-reading activities that provides students with extensive practice in reading comprehension, vocabulary, reading rate, study skills, and writing. Diagnostic charts and progress graphs, located in each book, help monitor progress and determine which skills need additional practice.

Topics from the Restless – Book Two is organized around themes such as: A Living Wage, You Learn Something Every Day, You Can’t Get There from Here, and Feeling Better Already.
